I go on with presentation of Bulgarian Brands.
So the next brand is called Tina Social Club and honestly I found it recently and I’m not very familiar with it but it seems quite interesting and impressionable.
Tina Social Club
One of my favorite fashionista Jasmine V also spotted Tina Social Club and we saw her wearing Tina jacket:
Alexander McQueen, Armani Collezioni, Bulgaria, D&G, Esprit, Fashion boutiques, GUESS, H&M, Just Cavalli, Marella, Max Mara, Max&Co, Miu Miu, Moschino, Palmers, Paul Smith, Prada, RED Valentino, shopping, shopping in Sofia, Sofia, stores, Trend Box, Versace, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania, Zara
As I promise in my previous post I will introduce you the best places in Sofia, and I will start with Sofia’s Fashion stores and boutiques.
And the four biggest malls in Sofia:
City Center Sofia
However the icing on the cake in Sofia’s fashion life are boutiques located in Sheraton Sofia Hotel. There you can find Just Cavalli, Guess By Marciano (one of my favs), D&G and Trend Box (where you can shop the latest collections of Prada Red Line, Miu Miu, Moschino Main Line, Moschino Cheap&Chic, Love Moschino, Paul Smith Mainline, Paul Smith Black Label, Paul by Paul Smith, Bally, Armani Collezioni, Giorgio Armani , Valentino Roma, R.E.D. More about it you will read in some of the next Get to know Sofia posts and now just to arise your interest I reveal a few pictures:
p.s. In my previous post I said I will take pictures, but I’m still not, so any of these pictures isn’t taken by me.
Working on one project I come across some wonderful pictures of my hometown – Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria). And that suggested to me I should introduce Sofia to you. I plan to start with post about iconic buildings. Next point is planned to be high-end stores and boutiques and the best shopping places in Sofia. After that I may present you the best hotels and restaurants and everything else I find interesting in Sofia.
Now here is one “Welcome to Sofia” picture.
p.s. The problem is I couldn’t find good photos of the most places and destinations I want to show you so I have to take it by myself. This is why this topic will be late (I’m too busy this month and taking photos should wait).
A few years ago two Bulgarian girls launched on-line store for selected Bulgarian brands called Cliche. Soon after that inspired by the success of their store they develop their own brand with own design, models and concept. The brand also is called Cliche and last year was opened first Cliche showroom where you can view, try on and buy most of things available on cliche.bg. Unfortunately, in contrast with Gio Diev, Cliche store and brand are not popular beyond Bulgaria.
You may have heard about Gio Diev shoes which obsessed many world-wide celebrities. The creator of this brand is man called Gio Metodiev and he is Bulgarian. Recent years he lives in New York where he has worked for Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana. In 2012 he starts his own brand Gio Diev which became popular very fast.
‘He began his career as a PR, managing the American press for Dolce and Gabbana, coming into contact with the fascinating and mysterious world of women’s fashion, at which has since remained loyal admirer.
Gio Metodiev, the famous shoe designer who lives and works in New York, was so caught up in the fashion industry, becoming a real innovator of it.
In fact the 2010 was the birth year of his brand GIO DIEV, a way through the designer can predict and make real, desires and dreams of the female world, creating sculptures to wear at all times.
These products are truly unique, very sensual, compelling and sometimes provocative, that really express the beauty and winding characteristics of a body part is not always enough to be considered: The woman’s foot, undisputed symbol of femininity and sensuality.
His shoes, with heels, pronounced necklines, wacky and unusual combination of elements, so bring all eyes and attention to that accessory so loved by women of all ages and all the world.’

Next Bulgarian brand I’d like to show you is GENE.
GENE style is an exclusive women`s clothing brand created from the perspective that style exists in women`s DNA.
Founder and creative director Lora Nikolaev conceptualized and created Luxury Pret-a-Porte women`s clothing brand, which defines ”New Age” women clothing with surely distinctive approach and classic taste for style that never fades.
The usage of high-quality fabrics, such as the finest silk and cashmere combined with feminine designs and classical approach to clean cut tailoring, distinguishes GENE main line as modern, seductive and wearable clothing with intelligent touch in the detail.
Well I decided to present you a few Bulgarian fashion brands. They are innovative, young, made by ambitious young people. They are not famous world-wide brands, in fact they are not very popular even in Bulgaria. They are not high-class neither expensive, mostly an everyday wear. So first brand I will present you is Knapp.
Knapp is a Bulgarian fashion label, based in Sofia,
Bulgaria. Designs are minimalist yet feminine with a fresh retro feel and small touches that give them personality and uniqueness. The Knapp girl is vivacious and dynamic, smart and sensual.
They like to experiment by developing one model for different fabrics showcasing
the richness of choice and their own singular special qualities. Every season they present two collections – a Main collection featuring more intricate pieces and the more casual Light collection.
Knapp was established in 2011.
Brief preview of their last collections:
This shirt is favorite of many Bulgarian celebrities:
You may not believe but this month was the opening of first Aldo store here in Bulgaria. What’s more this month was the opening of first H&M store too. Now we could say we’re one step closer to good fashion and one step closer to summer (according to the shining sun).

In Bulgaria the 14th of February is not only the Valentine’s day but also traditional Day of wine. It is interesting how two events, one foreign and other traditional Bulgarian, can harmonize each other so brilliant. Love and Wine are quite good together but when we are looking for perfection we definitely should add a chocolate. So that today chocolate is held in so high respect that you might thought it’s the Day of chocolate. And I believe that love, wine and chocolate are deemed to be a great combination all over the world. Today, by implication, we also kind of celebrate the Chocolate Day. And as one of my obsessions I’ve just couldn’t miss to mention it.
After we have specified that Love Day and Wine Day are celebrated with a lot of chocolate, now we should select our preferred place for celebration. It has to look something like this:
We already know what we’ll wear so what is left is only the present!
But about the present…
let it be surprise!
Kisses and have a nice holiday
